 Spring is celebrated by the Iroquois with one of their most important ceremonies, the Strawberry Festival. The strawberry design around the circle is based on an ancient quill pattern. The Unity of the Clans wampum belt represents the clans that sit around the council fire. The white background signifies peace, friendship and unity.
